Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed she underwent a breast lift following the birth of her second child in early 2025. The procedure took place shortly after the birth of her son, a fact she disclosed in a recent profile published by The Cut. This announcement coincides with the launch of her new beauty venture, signaling a shift in how she presents herself to the public ahead of new professional milestones.

The primary motivation for the surgery was professional necessity rather than personal preference. Lawrence stated she wants to look composed during daily routines, specifically when dropping her children off at school. "I want to be a sexy mom," she told The Cut. "At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her shit together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my shit together." This approach reflects a strategic decision to manage her public image with minimal visible effort.

Lawrence, 36, is not stopping with the breast lift. She plans to undergo a facelift at a future date. In an October 2025 interview with The New Yorker, she acknowledged the physical changes her body has undergone since having children. "Everything bounced back, pretty much, after the first one," she noted regarding her first child. "Second one, nothing bounced back." This candid admission provides context for her decision to pursue further cosmetic interventions.

The actress has previously used injections to maintain her appearance. She revealed in the New Yorker interview that she regularly receives Botox. She also expressed a strong desire for a buccal fat removal, a procedure she said she has been unable to perform because it would be immediately noticeable to the public. "I mean, I would love to have a buccal fat removal," she said. "I can’t because everybody would know, but just know that I want that." This comment illustrates the constraints actors face when balancing aesthetic goals with public recognition.

Lawrence is launching Mes, a biodesigned haircare brand, this week. The company is a partnership with Jasmina Aganovic, the founder and CEO of Arcaea. Lawrence described the brand as an extension of her acting career, viewing it as a new way to engage with her audience. "It just seemed like a new way of going about things," she said. "This is what I’ve been waiting for."

Her return to the screen is imminent. Lawrence will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping," which is set for release next month. The timing of her surgical disclosures and brand launch suggests a coordinated effort to refresh her public persona just before her major cinematic comeback.
