Ford Motor releases its third-quarter financial report after the market closes on Wednesday. The results offer a direct look at how production hiccups are affecting the bottom line for one of America's largest automakers.

Wall Street analysts expect adjusted earnings per share of 40 cents and automotive revenue of $46.24 billion. Those figures would mark an 11% drop in earnings per share and a 2% decline in revenue compared to the same period last year. In the third quarter of 2025, the company generated $47.19 billion in automotive revenue and posted a net income of $2.4 billion.

Investor attention centers on the F-150 pickup truck. Ford has spent the past year resolving supplier issues that limited truck output. A new, unrelated supply chain problem emerged late in September, further disrupting F-150 manufacturing. Production fell from more than 57,500 units in August to fewer than 43,000 in September.

Company officials state the disruption is containable within the existing 2026 adjusted earnings guidance. Analysts generally believe Ford will maintain its current 2026 outlook. Opinions differ on the precise impact the F-150 issue will have on third-quarter numbers. Investors are also monitoring warranty costs for potential surprises.

Ford currently projects adjusted earnings before interest and taxes between $10 billion and $11 billion for 2026. The company also targets adjusted free cash flow of $6 billion to $7 billion. Management will indicate whether these targets remain valid during the Wednesday call.
