Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputies seized more than $150,000 in narcotics from a Bradenton residence on October 23. The operation concluded an undercover investigation that led to the arrest of Miguel Aguilar-Hernandez, 27.
Detectives conducted multiple controlled purchases of narcotics from Aguilar-Hernandez at the home located in the 4900 block of 22nd Street West. These transactions provided the evidence needed for a search warrant. MCSO SWAT team members assisted detectives in entering the property once the warrant was executed.
Inside the house, officers found Aguilar-Hernandez, a woman, and an infant. The Florida Department of Children and Families responded to the scene and removed the baby from the home. MCSO officials have not indicated whether the woman present at the time of the raid faces criminal charges.
Deputies inventoried three guns and $3,366 in cash during the search. They also collected 1.75 pounds of cocaine, 15 pounds of marijuana, 362.9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 187.4 grams of MDMA, 35.5 grams of Adderall, 19.3 grams of ketamine, and 3.3 grams of oxycodone.
Aguilar-Hernandez is now in custody facing multiple charges. These include trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana and MDMA with intent to sell. He also faces possession of controlled substances and multiple counts of selling cocaine and MDMA. The charges stem directly from the undercover purchases and the items found during the search warrant execution.
