Ukraine continues to receive Patriot interceptor missiles bought by European allies through the PURL initiative, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Alexus Grynkewich said, describing a supply line that has not stalled.
Grynkewich said no item in the PURL package funded by European allies has been held up. "Everything has been delivered, in fact, we just had the delivery within the last week," he said, adding that he would not disclose missile numbers or types. He said deliveries have been ongoing.
The United States continues to supply Ukraine with interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems as well as weapons funded by European allies, Grynkewich said. He also said every third-party transfer request submitted to the U.S. government has been approved, and that work is underway on the content of future PURL packages. "We're working this hard," he said.
His remarks follow statements from Kyiv on 26 October. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine had waited nearly a month for Pete Hegseth to sign off on missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defence systems, and that Ukraine has received an average of 12 Patriot missiles per month in 2026.
Ukrainian Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara has asked Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Poland and Italy to consider transferring 10% of their interceptor missile stockpiles for Patriot and IRIS-T systems to Ukraine in exchange for deliveries Kyiv is awaiting.
Grynkewich serves as NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe. Bloomberg reported his remarks, which European Pravda also carried.
