Mckenna Grace has stated that she deliberately avoids acting roles that require nudity or hypersexual elements. She made this declaration during a discussion with Cosmopolitan, which was released on Tuesday. Grace emphasized that she respects other actors who choose such parts, but she finds the requirement terrifying for herself.

The actress, who stars in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, clarified that her preference does not limit her to lighthearted projects. She noted that she is comfortable working within the horror genre. Grace pointed to her role in Scream, where her character is killed by Ghostface, as proof that she is not restricted to wholesome material.

Despite her willingness to handle intense scenes, Grace identified a specific long-term goal for her career. She described her dream as attempting to become a Disney princess someday. This aspiration influences her current choices in selecting scripts and roles.

Grace is currently appearing in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film opens in theaters on Nov. 20. In the interview, she discussed her deep history as a fan of the franchise. She recalled having a large poster of the series and purchasing a bow and arrows to emulate Katniss Everdeen.

The actress told director Francis Lawrence upon arriving on set that she had consumed the source material extensively. She explained to him that she had watched the films and read the books many times. She described the physical experience of running from the podium toward the cornucopia as feeling unreal because of her familiarity with the story.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. The plot takes place nearly 25 years before the events of the original book and film saga. The story begins on the morning of the 50th annual Hunger Games. Haymitch Abernathy is chosen to compete in the arena during this time.

Joseph Zada portrays the young version of Haymitch in the production. The narrative follows his journey through the Second Quarter Quell. Haymitch eventually wins the games in the story. He later serves as the mentor for Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in the original timeline.
