Jay-Z will perform the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show.
The NFL, Apple Music, and the rapper announced the decision on Monday. The game is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Jay-Z's company, Roc Nation, has produced the halftime show since 2019. The firm recently signed a five-year extension to continue in that role through 2029. Since Roc Nation took over, the performances have focused more heavily on hip-hop and rap.
The 25-time Grammy winner has never headlined a Super Bowl halftime show. He is currently on the Jay-Z 30 Tour to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. It included two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
Jay-Z closed his scheduled tour dates on Oct. 23 and Oct. 24 at SoFi Stadium. Those concerts took place just weeks before the announcement of his Super Bowl performance. His recent live shows at the venue will serve as a direct warm-up for the upcoming game.
The last Super Bowl Halftime Show in Los Angeles occurred in 2022. That performance featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. It also included cameos by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak. Other recent headliners include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023.
